Strive Islamic School Graduation Class of 2026
← Back to Homepage · Chapter Two

More than a school.
A place where children thrive.

We don't just teach. We take our kids to the zoo, to the masjid, to the post office. We paint, we build robots, we celebrate milestones together. Because childhood should be full of wonder. And so should school.

More Than a School, A Place to Belong

Strive Class Gather and pray
Summer 2025 · The Beginning
A community said enough waiting.
Elk Grove's Muslim families didn't need another school. They needed one school that truly knew who their children were. So they built it from the ground up, by this community.

Every Day · Creativity
We make space for every child to create.
Art isn't a break from learning. It's where children discover how they think. Every brushstroke builds confidence, expression, and a deeper sense of self.

STEM · Innovation
They built a greenhouse. In year one.
Our children don't just read about science. They live it. From robotics to ecosystems, Strive turns curiosity into creation from the very first grade.

How It Looks in Practice

Whole-Child, Islam-Centered

01
Social & Emotional Centering

Every child is seen, known, and supported. Strive takes a whole-child approach, attending to emotional and social development alongside academic growth.

02
Happy Students, Happy Parents

Parents consistently report that their children are excited and eager to come to school every day, a sign our environment is addressing what children truly need.

03
Global Partnerships

We have partnered with local, national, and global businesses, curriculum developers, and advocates for Islam-centered education to build a world-class program.

04
Vetted, Globally Recognized Curriculum

We use vetted, globally recognized curriculum and have secured a dedicated educational consultant who trains and supports our teachers throughout the entire school year.

Remarkable First Year

From Vision to a Thriving School Community

Not achievements on paper. Things children actually lived in their very first year of school.

Strive students engaged in interactive learning
Strive · Year One · 2025–26
01
STEM · Global Stage
Students built robots and competed on a global stage.
From scratch, no prior program. Strive formed a FIRST LEGO League team and competed internationally. Elk Grove Muslim children showing the world what they're made of.
02
Curriculum · Coding
Children who beg to go to coding class.
A STEM curriculum built around genuine excitement, not obligation. Students who don't want the lesson to end. That's the only measure that matters.
03
Community · Partnerships
Global partnerships. National recognition. Year one.
Debuted at the LA MAS Convention, connecting with Islamic schools across the US. Curriculum partners, advocates, collaborators. All in year one.
04
Language · Arabic
Arabic as a living language, not a rote exercise.
Piloting Lingo Dice, developed by a local specialist, where children acquire Arabic naturally, joyfully, purposefully. Language that lives, not memorized.
05
Culture · Every Day
Children who wake up and ask to go to school.
Parents say it every single day. That doesn't happen at a school children merely tolerate. That happens at a school that genuinely sees them.

Educators

Teachers who feel called to this work

The teachers who chose Strive didn't need the job. They had options. They chose this community, this mission, this responsibility before Allah ﷻ.

And the families see it every day: in the high-fives, the encouragement, the extra patience, the warm smiles that tell every child: you are seen, you are celebrated, you belong here.

"A place that solidifies the purpose of life, serving Allah ﷻ, and shows children how to live that purpose every single day."

Programs That Set Us Apart

Built for Muslim children to lead

Strive is not a private school with an Islamic Studies class. These are the programs our students were actually part of in year one.

FIRST LEGO League
We joined this prestigious global initiative, formed our own team, and competed in the seasonal challenge, all in our very first year.
Coding & Robotics
Our STEM curriculum includes a dedicated coding and robotics class that students are genuinely thrilled about and deeply engaged in.
Lingo Dice Arabic
Piloting an innovative Arabic language program developed by a local specialist, bringing authentic, joyful language learning to our students.
LA MAS Convention
Represented Strive at the LA MAS convention, sharing our mission with families, educators, and Islamic schools nationwide.
The Road Ahead

Strive was never meant to be temporary. It is a sadaqah jariyah for this entire community built to outlast all of us, with a clear and transparent path toward long-term sustainability.

By Year 3, Strive is projected to reach full financial sustainability, InshaAllah, helping preserve accessible, Islam-centered education for Muslim families in Elk Grove.
