Sunday School Mission
IN MCYC SUNDAY SCHOOL WE PLANT THE SEED FOR ISLAMIC EDUCATION FOSTERING A LOVE FOR ALLAH SWT AND HIS FINAL PROPHET MOHAMMED(s.A.ws)’s TEACHINGS.
ON TOP OF INSTILLING VALUABLE KNOWLADGE, THE GOAL OF SUNDAY SCHOOL IS TO MAKE THE NEXT GENERATION OF MUSLIM KIDS LOVE ISLAM AND HAVE A CONNECTION TO THE COMMUNITY AND MASJID.
Tuition
Regular Rate
- $220 per child (includes books)
- $200 for returning students
- Prices will increase after Jan 15 to $220 for returning and $240 for new
Financial Aid
- Please email sunday.school@massacramento.org with your situation. We will ask for documents for proof.

- Or go to the MCYC kiosk and register through it directly you will receive an email if your registration is successful – if you don’t, please email sunday.school@massacramento.org asap.
Cash & Personal Checks
- Register & pay at MCYC Sunday school during School hours
- Any returned personal checks will be charged a $25 fee paid in cash + a $25 late fee.
Sunday school is comprised of the following subjects:
1. Morning assembly with athkar (duaa as-sabaah)
2. Quraan (Reading and Reciting)
3. Arabic with the purpose of learning Quran
4. Islamic studies (seerah, fiqh, aqeeda, and Tarbiya –from ahl asunnah wa jamaa)
General rules:
- no children younger then 5 (NO EXCPETIONS, This ensures everyone is at the same level) all children MUST be potty trained
- For this semester the oldest age is 13 at time of registration.
- please pack food with your children for lunch
- For children with special needs we require the parent to be in the class with them to help with behavioral and or learning situations. They must be with the child throughout the whole school day. there are no exceptions to this rule.
- Children will be taught from ahl Asunnah wa jamaa, other sects are welcome but must understand that teachers will only uphold from sunni medhabs

FIRST DAY INSTRUCTIONS:
– Registration begins at 9am
-First day will be orientation/registration,
-We require parents/Guardian to STAY FOR FIRST DAY ASSEMBLY no exceptions (this will start at 10am)
-The cost of books is included in the cost of tuition for this semester. We will hand out the books to the kids.

KG: ages 5- 6
Arabic : Reading and writing of Arabic alphabets and short vowels (damma, fattha, kesra) along with learning basic vocab and phrases
Texts: Arabic writing workbook by Taqwa Prints
Quran: Memorization and teaching of the following Shahadah, Sura Fatiha, Surah nas, surah falaq
Text: The Holy Quran for Kids Presented by Yahiya Emerick (print outs from teacher)
Islamic Studies: – Adaab, meaning and use of “bismillah” “alhumdulillah” “inshaAllah” “Salamulaykum”, who is Allah and Mohammed (s), Cleanliness, instilling God consciousness, Stories of the prophet (s) and lessons and more

Quran: Memorization and teaching of the following: the Shahadah, surah Nasr to al-fil. ( if they are more advanced teacher will work with them separately)
