Strive Beginnings

Strive School was created to fill a real need in our community: an Islam-centered educational institution serving the children and families of Elk Grove, California—south of Sacramento—where faith, academic excellence, and character development grow hand-in-hand.

The vision for Strive School began in July 2025, and by the grace of Allah, the school opened its doors in August 2025 with 24 students. What started with humble beginnings became a living example of what a committed community can build quickly and with integrity. Dedicated volunteers—parents, educators, and local community members—helped establish Strive School from the ground up in a short period of time, while maintaining the integrity of the mission and the quality of the learning experience.

From teachers with 30+ years of experience to project managers, consultants, and community leaders, Strive School has grown into a permanent school for the current and future children of Elk Grove and surrounding areas. Along the way, we’ve built meaningful connections with educators, administrators, and academics across the world—learning, collaborating, and continuously improving for the benefit of our students.

We are also intentional about supporting local and national Muslim-owned businesses and partnering with Islam-centered curriculum developers, strengthening an ecosystem of resources that reflects our values and elevates our educational standards.

Mission

To guide and inspire children to love learning, build strong character, and grow in their faith — all while striving to be their best in every part of life.

Vision

A future where young Muslims lead with confidence, live with purpose, and stay rooted in their deen, growing into objective-driven individuals who know who they are and what they stand for.

Learning with Purpose

At Strive, we believe learning should have a clear purpose. Every subject is taught with goals that connect to:

  • Islamic values and ethical principles
  • Real-world applications and problem-solving
  • Personal growth and character development
  • Community service and social responsibility

Why Families Choose Strive

Islam-Centered Teaching & Curriculum

Learning at Strive is rooted in Qur’anic values and the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet, Muhammad SAW. Students strengthen their Islamic identity while acquiring knowledge, understanding, adab, and character across all subjects and experiences.

Small Teacher-to-Student Ratio

Our intentionally small class sizes allow teachers to provide personalized instruction, customized experiences, meaningful feedback, and strong academic support—so each child can thrive.

Whole-Child Approach

We support students academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Strive prioritizes character development, leadership, and healthy relationships alongside academic excellence.

Worldview & Critical Thinking Development

Students learn to ask thoughtful questions, analyze ideas, and connect learning to the real world—building critical thinking skills grounded in an Islamic worldview.

Student assessment

Students will be assessed to identify current levels within core subjects such as Math, ELA, and Arabic.  Tests look at fluency, comprehension, reading, and math skills.

Enrollment Decision

After the family interview and review of the complete application packet, Strive School will determine enrollment acceptance.

Admissions decisions are communicated after the interview process is complete.
Final enrollment is confirmed upon official acceptance and completion of any remaining enrollment paperwork and tuition agreements.
