Kindergarten Teacher

Duties of the Kindergarten Teacher

• Work Sundays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at MAS Elk Grove.
• Teach Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Quran to young learners.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that nurture Islamic values and basic literacy.
• Use engaging, hands-on teaching strategies to build foundational skills and love for learning.
• Foster a caring, respectful, and spiritually uplifting classroom environment.
• Collaborate with staff and maintain communication with parents about student progress.
• Manage classroom behavior positively and effectively.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience teaching young children in a classroom or educational setting.
• Basic fluency in Arabic and knowledge of Islamic teachings and Quran.
• Ability to create a nurturing and structured environment for early learners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to Islamic values and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in early childhood education or certification in teaching.
• Experience working in Islamic schools or Sunday school settings.
• Creative teaching methods tailored to young children’s developmental stages.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English.
