Quran Teacher

Duties of the Quran Teacher

  • Work Sundays from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM at MAS Elk Grove.

  • Support Quran instruction from Sunday, August 17 to Sunday, December 21, 2025.

  • Teach Quranic recitation with correct pronunciation and Tajweed rules.

  • Engage students in understanding the Quran and its meanings through effective teaching strategies.

  • Maintain a respectful and spiritually enriching classroom environment.

  • Communicate professionally with students, parents, and staff.

  • Complete lesson planning, attendance, and other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong Quranic knowledge, including Tajweed and Islamic studies.

  • Ability to recite the Quran with proper pronunciation and Tajweed.

  • Experience teaching Quran in a structured setting.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with students and families.

  • Organizational skills for classroom and administrative tasks.

  • Adherence to Islamic values and conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or certification in Islamic Studies or Quranic instruction.

  • Patience and compassion when working with youth of varying backgrounds and learning styles.

  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.

  • Experience working with Sunday Schools or similar programs.
