1. How do I request monetary assistance?

➡️ Fill out the Assistance Request Form. Our zakat team will reach out inshaAllah.

2. A family member passed away. What do I do next?

1️⃣ Burial process begins by first contacting a Funeral Director of your choice. GSMC recommends All Seasons Funeral Services at 916-896-1910.

2️⃣ Funeral director is responsible for initiating the process of collecting the body, obtaining the death certificate and burial permit.

3️⃣ Simultaneously, please also call the Cemetery Hotline at 916-505-1681 to inform them of the passing. The Cemetery Manager will coordinate the ghusal, janazah prayer, and actual burial with the deceased’s family.

4️⃣ The burial will not be scheduled until the cemetery receives a burial permit from the funeral director. Otherwise, it is a violation of State laws.

3. I have a duaa request. Who do I send it to?

➡️ Email your request to info@massacramento.org. It can be shared with the imams or listed in the weekly duaa list.

4. I want to book a room. What should I do and how long does it take?

➡️ Email your request to info@massacramento.org. Approvals typically take 3–7 days based on availability.

5. Does MAS cover burial costs?

➡️ Burial cost support is available through zakat if eligible. Submit the Assistance Form to begin the process.

6. How do I become a MAS member?

➡️ Visit our Membership Page to join. The form takes about 3–5 minutes to complete.
