Quran Quest

Quran quest is a great way to advance in Quranic and Islamic knowledge via studying selected surat Tafseer. Healthy competition ensures a fun experience for all!

MAS Sacramento is teaming up with MAS Bay Area to bring this exciting competition to the Muslim Community of Greater Sacramento.

Level 1: Grades 4-5

Surat al-Fajr to al-Layl – سورة الفجر إلى الليل

Book: Tafseer Ibn Katheer

Check in starts at 09:00 AM
Contest starts at 09:30 AM

  • All team members must read behavioral contract/ contest guidelines and bring it signed by all members when they check in.
  • All team members must check in together.
  • Late teams are not permitted in the competition and are disqualified.
  • Expected time to finish Level 1 is 11:00 AM

Level 2: Grades 6-8

Surat al-Hujurāt to al-Dhāriyāt – سورة الحجرات إلى الذاريات

Check in starts at 10:30 AM
Contest starts at 11:30 AM

  • Expected time to finish Level 2 is 01:00 PM

Level 3: Grades 9-12

Surat Fāṭir to Yāsīn – سورة فاطر إلى يس

Contest starts at 02:00 PM

  • Expected time to finish Level 3 is 04:30 PM

Level 4: Family & Friends

Surah al-Anfāl – سورة الأنفال

Book: Tafseer Ibn Katheer

Check in starts at 04:15 PM
Contest starts at 05:30 PM

  • All team members must read behavioral contract/ contest guidelines and bring it signed by all members when they check in.
  • All team members must check in together.
  • Late teams are not permitted in the competition and are disqualified.
  • Expected time to finish Level 4 is 08:00 PM

Competition Process:

  • Each team will be seated around a table. Two blank sheets, a pen, and a team sign will be provided on each table.

  • Each team should identify its pen owner/writer, and its team leader who will make the final decision on the answer.

  • All teams must listen to the contest rules and obey them.

  • All teams will participate simultaneously in all rounds.

  • All teams will answer both multiple choice and short answer questions. 

  • Top scoring teams will be announced after the final round and will receive a special prize, in addition to the small gift that all participants will receive.
